		<description>Hi Dam

Thats a very big question, but I'm happy to give pointers based on my own experiences.

I think the first thing I would do is start trading a Demo account until you have found a trading style that works for you. If you trade a demo account, you can build up confidence in your trading. Most of us start out with confidence (I know I did), but that confidence can be quickly eroded when you find yourself with a string of losing trades. There are some people who do not believe in trading Demo, as trading with real money adds a psychological element that maybe not present in demo trading. However, in my experience, that psychological element is easier to deal with if your trading confidence comes from trading your methods in a live market with no risk to your capital.

Secondly, create rules for your trading, and stick to them! Each trade must be planned according to your rules, and when entering a trade, you must know your reasons for entering, where you are going to place your stop, and what your profit target is.

Lastly, and most importantly, work on keeping your emotions in check. This is possibly the area that I had to concentrate on the most. Learning about the market, analysis techniques and methods is of course important, and will be an ongoing task all the time you are trading, but being able to profit consistently takes mental toughness. A book called 'Trading In The Zone' by Mark Douglas is an excellent read on dealing with this particular subject.

I wish you well in your trading career.

To your wealth and success

<description>This is a great article. I traded forex and did not go so well. Mainly as my state of mind was not in line with my goals.

Lack of support from my wife made it more difficult. The key to all of this is to have the right mindset.

cheers
